Machine Zine Issue 1: Human Computer Interaction
A critical zine about new media art* curated by New Media Art Club.
Machine Zine is an artist-led publication for writing about new media art and creative technology. It exists to share critical writing, personal reflection, and situated thinking from people working with, through, and against machines. It is a space for artists to think in public.
*We use new media art as a broad, flexible term. It can include digital and computational art, creative coding, generative and algorithmic systems, net art, sound, time-based and lens-based media, interactive work, art games, locative and pervasive media, DIY and open-source practices, VR, AR, XR, AI, and machine learning. If you are unsure whether your work fits, it probably does.
Our emphasis is on critical writing and reflective discourse. Academic tone is not a requirement. Lived experience, practice-based insight, and experimental forms are all welcome.
